Unlike our skin, the natural pH of hair is between 4.5-5.5. It’s important to use products that are around this pH to maintain our optimum level for healthy and strong hair. Soap-based bars have a pH range of 9-10 which will open your hair cuticle leading to damage, friction, tangling, dullness, and dryness. As soap-free bars range between 4-6, this pH level does not disturb your hair cuticle or scalp, so they are cleansed with any dirt and oils washed away with water, leaving your hair healthy and shiny, just the way you like it.
